Saturday 20 July 2019 – A great turnout for our July 2019 beach clean up. Over 65 volunteers showed up to clean Dollymount beach on a sunny, windy, and at times rainy Dublin morning.
Again, our volunteer numbers are on the increase as the summer season is now well underway on Bull Island. Our volunteers come from all walks of life with two members joining us today from the Dublin Boys Brigade.
We removed around 35 bags of rubbish from the beach, the rocks and dunes area. We are seeing a steady reduction in the amount of litter on the beach, but there are still litter blackspots around the rocks along the causeway and near the wooden bridge.
